Title: Human-Machine Cooperative Intelligence: towards the new generation of Human-Centred AI

Yonghong Peng is the Professor of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Head and Executive Director of the University Research and Knowledge Exchange Centre for Advanced Computational Science (CfACS) at the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) UK. His research includes AI, machine learning and Data Science and the next generation Human-Machine Cooperative Intelligence (HMCI). The technologies he developed have found applications across medicine, health, living and future society. He is the Chair for the Big Data Task Force (BDTF) of IEEE computational intelligence society (CIS), and a founding member of the Technical Committee on Big Data (TCBD) of IEEE Communications.

Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming today’s world. A big challenge at this moment is the lack of human trust. Traditional AI development focus on “machine intelligence”; transformativeal change is needed to develop new technologies that empower “human intelligence” so that people can work better with AI and make AI systems be part of the society. This talk will share the speaker’s vision on the human-centred AI and discuss the extending of the boundary of AI in the future world.
